Cannot complain with my stay. Room was clean, the hotel is a tad outdated, but there were many extra amenities offered at this hotel that many more expensive ones do not, such as a movie theatre that is complimentary. It was also nice to see many fellow British persons working there. The only thing I believe needs to be adjusted is the breakfast time, which begins at 8am, I however had to check out previous to this time for work business.
The location is good. Easy access to the highway. Lots of shared amenities such as a kitchen, library, games room and theatre. You can rent movies from the front desk as well as board games. Staff is friendly and helpful. The only real issues are that the beds are very uncomfortable and the rooms are very hot in the summer. There is an air conditioning unit in the room, but it is old and noisy. The door locks are also very old and not overly secure. If you forget to lock up after yourself, the room will be unsecured. Cleanliness is decent. My only complaint is that the bathroom sink drain is covered in mold and hair. Needs to be sprayed with bleach once in a while. Rooms come with a mini fridge and microwave. Very family friendly as there are lots of things to do with the kids.
Hotel is full of amenities! For the price it's simply a wow. Where it loses points is staff friendliness. Service was good, but they just didn't seem to be particularly excited about their jobs or talking to people lol.
More charm and better food then some other options in town. Still clean where they actually give you a key instead of a card but the rooms are very comfortable and quiet. Parking is a bit of a nightmare but everything else is stellar
Great hotel. Rooms are well kept and spacious. Lots of room to store all the things you brought for adventures in Fernie. Right off the highway but not noisy and easy walk into town for bars, restaurants, shops and groceries!
