Friendly and helpful service adjusting my bike and pumping the tires. Great advice on hiking and biking trails suitable for my skills and interests.
Had a dropper post emergency fix, they fit me in to their busy schedule and sorted me out in 20 minutes, for $100's less than I expected.
I'm not a local but have had to use this shop a few times on my bike trips to Fernie. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Last time I was in there I blew my rear derailleur apart. They had me rolling with a new derailleur (same model) in 45 minutes. The guys downstairs are friendly and didn't talk to me like I was and idiot, which seems to happen at some Calgary shops.
Great Staff, everyone working there knows there stuff. Many of the staff worked in other shops in town at one time or another and eventually end up staying long term at Straight Line. That's got to say something about the management of the owner Ian Shopland. I've taken my bike and skis in many times for small repairs and the guys in the shop have helped me ASAP and usually without charge. Warranty service for any goods I have purchased there were taken care of with no problems. Last year I had my skis tuned there, and they noticed a flaw in the base where it was very thin, they pointed it out to me and warrantied them for me. Top notch people all the way around. Also when I was in the market for new skis they let me demo some models and when I made a decision took the demo cost off of the skis I bought. Try before you buy. That's great service for a small shop like this.
