Always good sushi. I wish they had more cooked meats however. Seems every roll has sashimi in it. Not a bad thing don't get me wrong. But sometimes I prefer my scallops or salmon cooked for different flavor.
Good service, nice private "little sushi rooms " if you know that I mean? Like where you sit "on the floor " and curtains around you for privacy,( not many though). Pretty good food, good beer selection on tap, I like when they make California rolls as a one bite item. Sometimes places make them so big you can't help but take at least two bites then the thing falls apart in your sauce.
Always a popular spot with our family. Who knew you could get great Japanese food in Fernie, of all places. Staff are very friendly, there is a good selection of food available, including menu items for those of us who are less adventurous with our food. It is a very popular spot, so be prepared to wait to get seated.
This was a great place to go to. The sushi was done very well, I especially liked the BC Rolls. We had a group of seven so we got a vooth; which has a curtain that separates the dining area, which is good for privacy and noise. Kept our children contained too. The only reason I done give this 5 stars is because it gets busy so quickly and we had to wait for 25min to get seated.
If your going through Fernie you need to stop here! The servers are best, the food is absolutely amazing. The food price is so reasonable. Highly recommend Yamagoya!
