Unreal. Great service. Food is incredible. This is the new favourite in Fernie. I will be going here every time Im in town!
To start on a positive note, the food was good. The service was also good but the staff could communicate better. We got there at 9:15pm and the hostess told us it would be a half hour wait for a table. When we got the text to be seated, we were told the table wasn't ready and since the patio closes in 15 minutes we can't be seated out there (patio was the only table area open). She told us we could sit at the bar. We were OK with this but a bit disappointing because it was beautiful out and we had no other option as all other restaurant stop serving food at 10pm. We ordered our food and went for a walk while we waited. When we got back after 10 minutes we were told they aren't serving the food we ordered anymore (the kitchen should let the servers know what is available as soon as possible to avoid this). Fast forward towards the end, I ordered a $14 drink which I didn't like at all (took 3 sips or so) and asked to swap it. The bartender was not at all to blame here because she did try and convince management to let us swap it. However management would not allow a swap so I ended up paying for two $14 drinks. The bartender did her best to fix this by making it into a new drink. But this is a poor policy to have! It does not cost the restaurant $14! Even paying a fraction of it would have been ok with us.The only reason I am not giving 1 star is because the woman at the bar who served us was very great!
One of the best meals we have had in Fernie! Trish was great and helped create the greatest dairy-free nachos ever (nachos that good don't even need cheese!). The margaritas are also stunning. And the plantains. I wish I had two stomachs so we could have had more nachos. Thank you Trish and Nevados!
The food was awesome. Husband and I both had tacos. The margaritas were also great but a bit small for the price so If I could give partial stars it would be closer to 4.5. Definately worth a try in Fernie!
Amazing food but be prepared to take some time. Theres a significant interval between each serving but I believe thats to accommodate the social aspect of tapas. Great first experience.
